Related: About this forumThe 2025 Tour de France started today.
NBC over the air had four hours of it this morning from 8:00 a.m. until noon, EDT.
There was a fender bender at the end of a sprint about fifty miles from the end of stage 1. It was on a paving block surface. One riders front wheel hit a block that must have been a few millimeters higher than the adjacent blocks, and in an instant, his bike went out from under him.

(11,518 posts)Last year was the first time everyday was not covered. I hope I can find daily live coverage somewhere. Never missed a stage since Greg L put America on the radar in the Tour
And just finished watching the Prefontaine Classic. Women set TWO world records, one in 5K and another by Faith in the 1,500. She just missed breaking 4 in the mile last week, a record no women has ever broken. So glad for her to get the WR here.
I did notice the Tour announcers mention a post race analysis on Peacock, with Lance on the panel.
Not complaining, no one was a bigger fan of Lance than I was. I raced with US Postal head to toe.
Been wearing the livestrong wrist ban since my wife was taken in 2020 from me and our then 10 year old daughter.
All the great sports now with Soccer, the Tour and tack and field is such a great getaway from hell in America right now.
And as always the women soccer team are dominate. And now the men are Rocking, in the CONCACAF final tomorrow. Diego Luna is a beast.
Find your escape and get away from everything trump as often as you can.
Sports and music are my escape.
Go girls !!!!

(11,518 posts)Arent those bikes so damn sleek these days. No cables of nothing anywhere.
And the one wreck, where a rider did a front wheel stand, by clamping down on the front breaks and avoid every other biker crashing around him.
Those guys are so skilled at those speeds and MMs apart.
Enjoy the stages. I love the mountains.
