Caitlin Clark eye poke

All I know is that I got poked in the eye playing hoop which resulted in an operation to close a hole in my retina. I had way less of a reaction than Clark. When you get poked in the eye you have floaters and can’t see for a couple of minutes. I want to see a video of the actual contact.

And I don’t think it is definitive.
When you get poked you can’t see for awhile. I think she was brushed and exaggerated the contact as all players do today.
If she was really poked her eye would be bloodshot and it wasn’t in post game interviews.
I went straight to my eye doctor and sent me to the surgeon and within a week I was in surgery.

BTW, Clark has been a target from Day One. I don't blame her for losing it.

WNBA has to get a handle on this. Clark is a tremendous draw for the league. Her presence helps the very lunkheads that are the problem.

Like when they called roughing the passer on Brady when he still had the ball.

If there is an over correction to protect Clark I think I'll just stick with Mercury games. They are a much better team than last year even though I miss Griner & Taurasi. Don't miss Cunningham though who is now with the Fever.

And I thought Chennedy’s shot last year was a cheap shot. I just think she was brushed and exaggerated like all players do today.

It seems to go beyond the normal animosity of opponents in high-level competition. I get that there are a lot of racist assholes out there, but CC can't control their behavior. She's bringing more viewers to the league, which will bring in more revenue, which will allow every player in the league to earn a lot more money. I'm not even a Fever fan. I'm a Liberty fan (as you could probably guess from my avatar). Yes, my hatred towards the Indiana Pacers and Reggie Miller extends to resentment for having to praise a player in the women's game from Indiana.
