and the night is not only for sleeping it is for love
at first the gentle breathing then the gasped breath
entangle parts of the lonely give kisses to the dove
twin bodies together heaving all balanced at death
moments of panic in hearts in spaces of separation
touches blending into one the flesh never divided
one ends where one starts a crown of consecration
souls burning in the sun fates of empires decided
at some time lust turns cold tongues taste of bitter
the wet stain spreads wider the futile seed is spent
gilding and flakes of gold dullness under the glitter
emptying the once imbiber dissolving of the intent
morning follows a day passes then it is night again
a guilt no longer harasses time comes to accept sin
