modified it - presumably by whiting out the sign and refilling it. If someone created it from scratch, there's a master forger out there.

In my DU "hobby" posting cartoons, I have an original of Larson's "Boneless Chicken Ranch". This looks as though text was erased, new text added and an image of the "Capitol?" was inserted. This is done all the time to cartoons. We've seen it done on DU hundreds of times.
The main reason I post these cartoons from wherever is for entertainment.

Larson's art is unmistakable. The changes were just added to it.

And that really is an homage - but it's customary to apologize to the artist anyway.
