What am I missing here? 
When people have a sale at their house, they call them yard sales, tag sales, moving sales. If you are affected by an emotion, you are moved. The cartoon shows a moving sale, with things on the lawn. The couple walking away were moved by the sale. Hope that helps without over explaining.
