Ali Larijani, Iran's top national security official killed, then Joe Kent resigns. Hummm...

Ali Larijani, Iran’s top national security official and one of the regime's most powerful figures, was killed in overnight strikes, Israel said Tuesday.

Tehran has not confirmed or denied the death of Larijani, 67, and it was not immediately clear what Israel was basing its assessment on. There was also no immediate confirmation from the United States.

It would mark the most senior leader killed in the country since Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei late last month, and a significant blow to the ruling clerical regime.

Larijani was officially the secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, but was considered by many to be the country’s de facto leader after Khamenei’s death. He comes from a political dynasty that many referred to as Iran’s equivalent of the Kennedys.

The very next day, Joe Kent resigns.

President Donald Trump's national counterterrorism director resigned on Tuesday, saying he “ cannot in good conscience” back the Trump administration’s war in Iran . Joe Kent posted that Iran “posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.” Trump welcomed Kent's departure, saying “We don’t want those people.”

Earlier Tuesday, Israel’s defense minister said the Israeli military killed top Iranian security official Ali Larijani in an overnight strike . The Israeli military also announced it killed Gholam Reza Soleimani, the head of the Revolutionary Guard’s all-volunteer Basij force . Iran did not confirm the deaths.

I am trying to find a social media post from Larijani the day before Israel killed him that said something like "The leftover Epstein crowd are plotting a 9/11 style attack on America. False flag, blame it on Iran. Iran doesn't support terrorism against American people"

I saw this in a couple of tiktoks (women) who warned, essentially, watch out for false flags. Also, Christ, the fascist Trump admin is gonna try it.

Does anybody have a link to the last soc. media post, I think it may have been Twitter, and in farsi. still looking.

Tehran's security chief made this claim on X saying that motive behind this could be turn American people against them. In his X post, Larijani said that the Epstein (Jeffrey Epstein) team is plotting false flag 9/11-style attack suggesting that the conspiracy was designed to turn the American public against Iran by framing it for the incident.

He makes the claim, then Israel murders him.

I hate republicans.
