Yeah. I pegged this as the exchange that most likely led to him being put on administrative leave.

Keep in mind that, as a very senior lawyer at the Office of Immigration Litigation, he had seen the government work to bring back people wrongfully deported many times before.

And The Trump administration isn't going to have any regrets about relieving Erez Reuveni of his post when they see this
In the end, Defendants' redressability argument rings hollow. As their counsel suggested at the hearing, this is not about Defendants' inability to return Abrego Garcia, but their lack of desire.

THE COURT: Can we talk about, then, just very practically, why can't the United States get Mr. Abrego Garcia back?

MR. REUVENI: Your Honor, I will say, for the Court's awareness, that when this case landed on my desk, the first thing I did was ask my clients that very question. I've not received, to date, an answer that I find satisfactory.

Also insulting the judge would have helped his job security.

The attorney in the Kilmar Abrego Garcia case was suspended by Bondi for not lying to the court and coming up with a bogus explanation for deportation of this man. The Court of appeals called Bondi out on this

This is a major call out of Bondi by this Court of Appeals

While we're thinking about this, Erez Reuveni and Auggie Flentje are the only two counsels of record in the 4th Cir. appeal, at least for the moment.

Both are career DOJ put on administrative leave over the weekend by political appointees.
