Compared to Rome, it seems the Greeks lived in a time where the natural world was more a part of daily existence. Perhaps the Romans looked at the fields and forests as modern nations, people, resources to be harvested, harnessed and monetized.

I think if I ever visit Greece, I will want to spend that time on a boat sailing from island to island.
