My mother really admired Pat Nixon. She wanted Lodge for president and Pat for First Lady. She was a freshman at Whittier High when Tricky was a senior. My dad's side were all Kennedy Democrats. All it took was Nixon's presidency to convert my mom.

Was Mom and Dad bringing home Nixon for President balloons in 1960. They came to their senses and he was the last Repug they supported.
