Related: About this forumI'm pretty sure I'm going to start ordering the kid cat's food from Chewy
Anyone have any opinion on them? So far I've heard nothing but good things but I really respect the opinion of other DU fur baby parents. Their prices are great and it will save me a lot of lugging BIG bags of kibble off of the shelves, in to the car, out of the care and in to the house.

Chewy's is great. I started ordering from them 2 years ago. So much easier and their customer service is the best I've ever dealt with. Prices are great, too. You won't be disappointed.

(69,423 posts)Animal Shelter in Asheville in lieu of flowers.
I had to call to cancel her autoship food order and asked if they could send whatever amount to the shelter to help the animals after the hurricane destroyed the shelter. I told the lady that while I appreciate them being willing to send flowers, I will live without flowers, but animals might not survive without supplies being sent, so they stepped right up.
They sent $99 worth of products: a large crate, loads of kitty treats, and a large container of the little springy things kittens love to play with.
I will never forget them doing this to help the shelter recover and, in some way, it helped me to heal from Trixie's crossing over.
I absolutely love Chewy!

(35 posts)Cat food, litter, treats, toys, medicines. Great prices, incredible customer service. I'm fortunate to have a distribution center a couple of hours away, so delivery is within 2 days, sometimes next day.
If you have any problem with your order, just call them and they'll make it right.
Fast shipping and you get a discount if you want auto ship.

(526 posts)Don't recommend ordering Temptations treats from them. Twice, the plastic container arrived broken. The orders are carefully packed but the Temptations don't seem to survive the shipping.
Chewy immediately offered a refund, no difficulties at all but stopped ordering them because I didn't want to cause such a wonderful, trusted company any more loss.

(4,129 posts)Free shipping is great. Just be careful when you click "add to the cart" to buy, that you don't click "suscribe". I did that accidentally, and soon got another shipment.

(220 posts)The dog treats that Meijer stopped carrying, Chewy has them. The cat food my cat likes, Chewy has it. Good prices, good selection, quick delivery.

(9,860 posts)I get my boys can food, dry food (not carried at my grocery store) and treats from them on auto-ship monthly. Works great. Plus they notify you a few days before they send the auto-ship in case you want to change anything.

(20,844 posts)They were 100% reliable, and when Willow decided her food choices had changed, we were able to send the last shipment back unopened, free of charge, no questions asked.
We had to take some time off while we figured what food was going to work for her, but we might start subscribing again soon.
If your order is at least $100, you get free shipping. That was a LOT of food to order at one time for our little girl, but with your clowder of 5, plus assorted ferals, that should be a non issue!

(3,091 posts)I tried Walmart once, but they smashed my order on the ground. A bunch of the cans were broken open and I had to throw them out. I never ordered from them again. Chewy has been great though. It's nice to have it right on your doorstep. The boxes can be big and heavy though. I just use a box cutter and break them down on the front porch. Good luck!

(556 posts)I was getting my cats' veterinary food at Petsmart but since most of the stores' veterinary offices have moved out, they no longer carry it. There were two Petsmarts both over half an hour away that still carried it, but it was not always convenient to go that far. I decided to try Chewy. I asked my vet to change the prescription from a 7.7 lb. bag to a 17 lb. one. It's cheaper in the long run. My order is on auto-pay and I get a 5% discount and free shipping. Now I don't have to go out in inclement weather; I don't have to lug the bag home; I don't have to worry if the store is out of it, etc. It just comes right to the door every three months like clockwork. No muss, no fuss. And their customer service is the best (and that's a sentence I've never said before).
