Maddie and Laurie rode in a number of competitions, photographed professionally.




And won ribbons.

They continued riding at the old farm.







But mostly Maddie walked free.

Laurie and Maddie have ridden together at the new farm.


These days Maddie hangs out with her buddy Pete.

... how tall is Maddie? About 15 hands?
She reminds me of the horse I had when I was a kid, right down to the watch eye on the left. Patch was a great horse at 141/2 hands. That was 60-odd years ago. I enjoy your photos of the horses! And Shadow, of course!
