But the only lobster to be had around here are tiny tails for about $30. Sigh.

...It's a benefit wrapped around a bad thing: cod overfishing means larger lobster catches.

I read this about 15 years ago, I'm thinking of buying it again - a great read read written in the style of New Yorker long articles:
