The RG and I will be celebrating Valentine's Day on a day other than Saturday, so I'm making Chickpea Soup with Potatoes, Carrots & Kale.
Naan bread with melted provolone and roasted peppers to go with the soup.
I also started a big pot of chicken broth for chicken noodle soup, coming up early in the week.

(1,837 posts)I grew up in a house of cooks where my brother and I were taught cooking and baking skills by both my parents from a very young age. Its funny that my brother and I married gals who have very little interest in cooking. I enjoy being the main chef but I always seek her input. On the other hand I hate doing laundry and most housekeeping chores, so its a trade off, as most solid marriages are.
