What's for Dinner, Wed., May 14, 2025

I might just have a nibble, like some fruit, before I go to a book event tonight. It's raining horrendously so I am not looking forward to the drive. Hope it lets up.

I'm thinking a slice of cantalope and a tangelo.

The event is a talk by the author of Adventures at the Louvre. Elaine Sciolinio.

There is a Japanese noodle takeout place on the way home, so I might stop there since it gets out at 8, still early.

Not just a nibble in our house, more like Thanksgiving.

Roast turkey breast
Stuffing
Cheesy potato casserole
Sweet potato casserole with a pecan topping.
Corn on the cob
Steamed broccoli
Fresh baked rolls
Gravy

There is much attention focused on the kitchen from our canine assistant.

We're having a guest tonight, the pup's best friend, who was also FLFC's good friend. He will be loaded down with leftovers when he leaves. Our guest used to live just behind us before we moved and we always shared food with him especially during COVID lock down.

on toasted Bosnian whole wheat bread. Also broccoli, which was nice for using up the rarebit sauce.

Angel hair with white clam sauce and garlic bread. Big Caesar salad.

Back to Panama tomorrow. Great food!
