What's for Dinner, Fri., May 9, 2025

BBQ pulled pork on onion rolls, sweet potato fries with ketchup, and bread & butter pickles.

I used my own homemade BBQ sauce. Not entirely happy with it; something is missing. The RG would know how to taste it and immediately adjust it, but I don't have his superb tasting/diagnosis ability. My diagnosis range goes from "it needs salt" to "it needs vinegar."

Nevertheless, Lady Fortune was shining on me yesterday at the Farmer's Market because I was able to get a quart of ORGANIC strawberries for only $3.93. I will have a few over a toasted waffle with soft serve ice cream for dessert. Hot black Pu-errh tea.

we go for the vinegar treatment rather than a bbq sauce

When I was at my favorite produce store today I found some peaches that smelled so good that I had to buy them. It’s a bit early for local peaches (well, from the same state at least) and apricots seemed late, so I buy them when I see them. The peaches were dessert and tasted as good as they smelled
