Garden produce is starting to come in and I'm using mine!
Creamy cauliflower soup using leeks from my garden. In addition, I'll put in just a little sharp Cheddar and cream because I'm also going to add tri-color cheese tortellini. Chopped chives on top.
Spinach-tangelo-red onion salad on the side with orange-sesame vinaigrette.
Cherry kombucha.
Dessert: Crumbled, toasted angel food bits over Greek yogurt and cold sliced pears.

(15,884 posts)mashed mixed sweet potatoes and rutabaga, and braised bok choi/ onions. Salad of leaf lettuce and big red radishes from my new CSA, with some shredded carrot, orange bell pepper, and cherry tomatoes already on hand.
I love my new CSA, a wonderful partnership between the Nashville Food Project and our local Burmese and Bhutanese refugee communities!

(1,135 posts)Fish and chips with an inexplicable grain/veg medley on the side. I snarfed the chipssweet potato fries, perfectly done! (they can be tricky thanks to the sugar in them)and half the veg, and am stuffed.

(3,341 posts)Red onions are my FAVE! Sadly, I've noticed they are really inflated lately. Some of my usual sources have stopped carrying them. Pineapples that were 77 cents each last week are $4.28 at the same store. What's going on? I thought pineapples were from Hawaii!

(11,104 posts)One of the things we experimented with during lockdown was Korean cooking - got competent at a marinated chicken dish and nearly duplicated the potato banchan from my favorite restaurant (theirs is a bit sweeter, but I like mine too). Made a big batch of the chicken a few days ago, and had the leftovers in tacos tonight.
