I am deliriously happy.
Emile, I had beautiful dreams of rows of marigolds and coxcomb. What a rich color combination. Tell Loretta I am going to be a copycat.

(34,749 posts)sleeping weather. Glad you are getting rain too. Loretta has been planting flowers in the vegetable garden for years. At first I thought why, but when they are in bloom they are beautiful. She saves her seeds every year. I'll tell her what you said.
The potato row is at the far end of the garden. I also tilled another garden on the property about 1/4 of the size of this one.

said tell Cher that marigolds in the vegetable garden are effective against squash bugs, tomato hornworms, cabbage worms, and cucumber beetles. They don't recommend that you plant marigolds near beans or cabbage.
Oh, and look what I found near the compost manure pile. The Creeping Charlie had it covered. Yellow sponge morel.
