Had an unusually small holiday baking season this year and only 2 varieties requested

Traditional chocolate pound cake for Thanksgiving and sister in law's birthday

For folks who bought cakes at a charity auction (these were all baked within one week)

2 Red Velvet cakes
24 Red Velvet cupcakes

I had been having a hard time finding the red food coloring! I decided to check Amazon and yes they had it.
Well I checked the wrong box in the order and received a 32 ounce bottle of culinary grade red food coloring.
It is enough to make 8 cakes! It only cost $11.00; one 4 oz bottle at the grocery is 4 to 5 dollars.

It really is a beautiful cake for Christmas or Valentine's
