Stir Fry: Chicken with Broccoli . I already did the chicken General Tso's style, with soy sauce, hoisin, and rice vinegar, so this will be easy. All I have to do now is prepare the broccoli. Serving over couscous.
Plus I have 4 little cucumbers, so I'll make cucumber salad with peanuts as a side.
Strawberry-hibiscus kombucha.
For dessert, a big mug of hot chocolate with those cocoa chocolate chips I mentioned a few weeks ago. Maybe a mini-croissant with hazelnut chocolate spread and a Halo.

Yum! Broccoli!

I had the last rib from the meal I made the other day. I got 2 heads of nice fresh cabbage and used 1/2 of one head to make coleslaw.
Yesterday, I fried the other half of the cabbage with onion and garlic, in a little bacon fat. Glad I like cabbage!
Finished the Waldorf salad, which could be a dessert
Happy Saturday

(551 posts)I worked a half day, came home, and we went out. Then we came home, and I canned 5 pounds of gold potatoes.
I'm supposed to start sewing now, but I just can't get up the energy. I'll do it tomorrow. It's a project for somebody else and it's teaching me just how much I loathe minky fabric.

(10,763 posts)I'm thinking of doing a birria-like dish with the rest of the pulled pork that I didn't freeze.
I hear you about minky! When I was working on quilt shows I proposed a rule that anyone who backed a quilt with minky had to hang it themselves. Especially if it was a queen-sized quilt. Feels nice, but man that stuff is heavy!
