(19,495 posts)My older daughter is visiting, leaving today for an overnight with her inlaws. She and her husband will come back tomorrow, to my local daughter's home. I'll go over there, too for the day.
For a special breakfast, I cut up some fresh pineapple, and a banana. Set the fruit out with a cup of walnut halves. Made an omelet with fresh grated extra sharp cheddar. She had a slice of toast from the loaf I made Saturday and I had an English muffin. Our holiday breakfast
We both had coffee.
Happy Christmas Eve!

It was really good. We cut it Sunday, and shared most of it with a small dinner party (at a restaurant, then to my house for dessert and visiting)
I thought this was a good way to finish what hadn't been cut. Still very fresh and tasty.

(552 posts)DH had the last 2 wedges of homemade pizza. I had 5 steamed Chinese dumplings.
I've found a pretty good way of reheating pizza. I mike it for 1 minute to heat it thoroughly, then put it in a really hot dry frypan for as long as it takes to crisp up the bottom again. For a thick chewy crust, that's usually about 3-4 minutes. The top stays hot, but doesn't burn like it usually does for me in the oven.
