... Got interested in making a baked pasta with yesterday's OP on Lasagana by MOMFUDSKI. I'm making stuffed shells.

Mushrooms: sliced in the sauce, chopped in the filling or both?

2. I would do the sliced in the sauce.

It does depend on your filling, though.

... sometime mushroom add too much moisture. Maybe in this case mushrooms in the filling might be a bridge too far?

4. Cook them some on their own

Mushrooms need longer cooking than other foods. So for a casserole they get precooked before going into sauce. Filling depends on what else is in filling. You can also put some across top as a decoration too. I like pasta oven dishes as long as they are moist.

fried them to have them the right size for the filling. Have fun!

7. This is a fun recipe but it is just complicated enough to have to pay attention to.

9. The more mushrooms the better, IMHO

I usually sautee mushrooms before putting them in the body of the lasagna (or on pizza) since they seem to throw off a lot of liquid as they cook.

10. I've been growing tomatoes, basil and peppers with an indoor setup. I saw a video on home growing mushrooms ...

... and it's pretty darn easy. Thinking about turning my hand.
