Tomorrow we will finalize our new lease.

I am freaking out now because this means we are about to actually move. My back is killing me, my knee has now given up the ghost, and I am so worn out from months of packing, as well as years of stress from living where I am now. (Another long story for another time.)

I wish there was a place here where seniors and the like could find help with such things. We do not know anyone here other than the landlord, who will be helping from time to time, but is also far from a healthy person, and has his own knitting to tend to.

This is when being a compete failure hurts the most.... seeing my husband strain to keep working because I cannot and I never made enough to do more than survive, so we are all but destitute. We won't make it long without our 'umbrella'. It was stupid to move up here in the first place. My husband would probably leave me if he heard me say that, as this was his idea. I can't handle watching him wear himself out trying to fight the inevitable financial collapse that we are about to suffer And, that bug Johnson wants to make it more difficult to get aid??

I keep hoping for that 'big one' to hit soon. My husband would be fine. I am nothing but a dead albatross anyway.

5. We will have to wait and see if our 'benefactor' will manage to get some help and a truck.

So, things have progressed since I posted. We went and got things taken care of. As it turns out, we also managed to snag one of the garages. It just so happened that one was pegged to become available this week. So, we are not as crunched for space as we thought we were going to be, which is a great relief.

So, here is the deal. Our agreement with our current landlord is that he will cover the move in recompense for almost a decade of repair and maintenance that he received from us (including having to pay for some repairs ourselves). However, in typical fashion, he and his hubby are a three ring circus and we cannot even get a real confirmation as to whether or not the hired crew and truck will even be here. (This is what we get for relying on this person yet again. At least, it will be for the last time.) So, I have no idea if we will even be doing any moving yet. They hope to hear back from the movers soon.

The main issue is the entrance door and the short flight of steps one will have to navigate to get to the apartment, as it is 'garden level', which means that it is half in the ground. We are not allowed to prop that door open. Groan.

If you still need help, just say so! It will all work out.

6. Thanks. I am quite the fatalist when my anxieties really get going.

Things are not quite as bad as I may have let out earlier. But, things have also improved in some fronts as well.
