Fuck Pennsylvania. I posted a few days ago about my friend who is diagnosed with A.L.S.

A.L.S., in my opinion, brings the shittiest process of death that I can imagine. She hoped to apply for physician assisted suicide as the disease progressed. But Pennsylvania does not have provisions for it.

Much better to drown in your own saliva.

4. No. She is partially incapacitated. She and husband bought into a senior complex with assisted living.

Getting the buy-in money out and the physical strain and stress of moving make that difficult, if not impossible.

She is getting excellent medical care at the facility but that does not meet her fear of how she will die.

8. I have stockpiled all the leftover and unneeded oxycodone

that's been prescribed for me. I think it will be important to get them all down fast, so I don't just fall asleep or go into a coma or something.

I have given up on DNR when I'm hospitalized because they installed this damn defibrillator.

I have two dear friends who ended their suffering at their request. It's not an easy process but doable.

We did it with a voter passed resolution several years ago.
