Having ear/jaw pain
Alternating either side. Worried that this is the beginning of chronic pain. Facial tingling a bit better. Had ct scan today. Doubt itll show anything. I can't take this and I'm scared.

(139,681 posts)TMJ pain can be caused by a number of factors, including: Stress or anxiety, Trauma to the jaw or joint, Muscle spasms, Misalignment of the jaw (malocclusion), and Arthritis.
To ease TMJ pain, you can try:
Taking over-the-counter anti-inflammatory pain relievers
Applying a warm compress to the jaw
Avoiding teeth clenching, gum chewing, and nail biting
Practicing good resting jaw posture
Wearing a soft or firm oral splint or mouth guard
Physical therapy

Also have the second dentist look into where you are on the TMJ dysfunction.

(15,753 posts)I know I'm in pain and having facial tingling. The dentist who injured me denies what he did injured me. No clue what to do if injury is found. No lawyer is interested in malpractice case.
