A week or so ago, one surgeon loosened my peg a bit.

It was put in on Feb 25. I'm still getting leakage and it appears a grey/blackish goop around the opening. Did she loosen it too much?

1. Have it checked to be sure. With the doctor that placed it.

There's a surprising length of tube inside the tummy and some build-up around the opening is normal. I had a little build-up each morning, but any drainage from the actual surgery stopped after a few days. A few times the smaller opening, or the medication port, on the tube came open during the night causing a lot of drainage.

Go get it checked.

2. Thanks. I did a good clean and tightened it a bit. It's kinda gummy.

Chemo is over now, yes? Wasn't it to be 3 sessions, iirc?

4. I feel kind of full, and a catch in my throat. Yes, three, next in two weeks.

The catch could be anxiety over the discharge.

5. Monitor that "catch" because that "catch" was what put me in the hospital for a month.

It was caused by the radiation.

So they are spreading the 3 sessions over a period of time? OK. I didn't understand that at first.

6. The catch is gone, it was anxiety.

I do have a bit of trouble with dry mouth swallowing, but that is not bad. A little spray from my water spritzer and I'm good to go.

9. I just cleaned the port, and the tightening of the tube seems to have helped.

I think the surgeon adjusted it to the post surgery swelling. The swelling eased, and the tube loosened.

10. The catch came back. It was nausea from Applesauce and the formula.

I threw up and feel just peachy.

There's still a bit of clear discharge, but is very light.
