Had some comfort food and cat hugs to help. I'm ok. I hope everyone else is ok who also has lost someone close to them.

I give up. Friend of 45 yrs has my wife and I fighting. Not worth the effort. SOB is good at being evasive and passive aggressive.

All the parents, aunts uncles etc are gone now. New Years Eve is the 3rd anniversary of my mom's passing so its hard to really "celebrate" the new year. Dont have any kids; couple step-kids but they're grown. But I DO enjoy seeing friends & their families.

is all. My son who died from fentanyl overdose a year ago has a birthday near Christmas. So that is emotional. Okay was the first word he said. I always said “it’s okay” to him when he cried.

Doesn’t feel like Christmas, especially because dump. Not looking forward to a year or more of life sucking huge elephant dicks.

Still not thinking about having any alcohol or any other abusive substance. So I have that to be proud of. I’d rather go through life with a clear head than with mush brain.

How you doing bif? Everything okay with you?

My youngest daughter is visiting with her husband from California. They're both pretty chill. My mom died in the beginning of December several years ago, so Im not a big fan of the holidays in general. But I'm still sober, so my family doesn't have to put up with my shennagins any more. It's been pretty nice so far.

That said, I really hate New Years Eve. The gunfire here in Detroit is out of control, and gets worse every year.

I’m sorry he puts you through that The arrogance and entitlement attitudes they exude are as bad as their addictions.

To feel trapped in a drug/alcohol relationship is not fun.
