When They See Us
After avoiding it for a long time because I knew Id be a total mess afterward, finally watched the series over a course of 3 days. Virtual gut punch producing lots of weeping, but totally worth it.
I dont know if this thread belongs here but Id be interested in knowing fellow DUers thoughts.
Personally I wish I could force DJTs eyelids open - actually do the same with (un)Fairstein & every other white SOB who never apologized - like they did with Alex in Clockwork Orange & force them to watch every minute.

(4,193 posts)1. I watched it last year some time.
I highly recommend it. Very well made and, yes, gut wrenching.

Love is kind of a hard word given the subject matter, but I thought it was wonderful. I may watch it again. The only thing I didn't like was the title. It doesn't say anything about the story, and I have a hard time remembering it.
BTW, Duvernay made a documentary about the imprisonment of black people called 13th. Worth watching.
