What is sexism and misogyny?

Last edited Sat Jun 6, 2026, 06:49 PM - Edit history (1)

Sexism is a system of prejudice and discrimination based on sex or gender.

Misogyny is the outright hatred, contempt, or prejudice specifically directed at women.

In short, sexism is a broader ideology, while misogyny is a hostile behavior used to enforce it
