Crimea blackout signals new phase of drone war Ukraine Brief TVP WORLD

Ukraine has launched a massive wave of attacks against power infrastructure on the Crimean Peninsula, knocking out power in Sevastopol, the peninsula’s biggest city, on Wednesday morning.

In Yevpatoriya, some 40 kilometers north of Sevastopol, Ukrainian forces attacked another electrical substation, which reportedly serves the central and western parts of the peninsula.

President Zelenskyy said on Wednesday that Russia is now increasing the number of air defense systems around Moscow and the Kerch bridge. This comes as Russian strikes across Ukraine have claimed the lives of at least seven people and injured 55 over the preceding day.

To discuss Ukraine’s strikes inside Russia, their consequences, and more, Ukraine Brief’s host Sally Jastrzębska is joined by Roman Waschuk, former Canadian ambassador to Ukraine .
