Amazon to drop weed testing for most job applicants

Amazon said Tuesday that it will stop screening job applicants for pot and will back a federal bill to legalize cannabis nationwide.
The announcement comes less than three months after a New York City man sued the e-commerce giant for rescinding a job offer because of a positive marijuana test. It also follows a growing trend across the country as companies and state governments move to relax their rules on pot smoking.
“In the past, like many employers, we’ve disqualified people from working at Amazon if they tested positive for marijuana use,” said Dave Clark, CEO of Amazon’s worldwide consumer division.

Makes sense considering Washington State where they're based was one of the first to legalize weed.
