(CNN) — President Donald Trump is sending a stern warning to Corporate America: He will use his bully pulpit to publicly shame companies that dare to raise prices because of tariffs.

After Walmart last week said it would have to jack up some prices because of high costs of the global trade war, Trump on Saturday responded forcefully in a Truth Social post, demanding Walmart reverse its decision.

“Walmart should STOP trying to blame Tariffs as the reason for raising prices throughout the chain,” Trump said. “Between Walmart and China they should, as is said, “EAT THE TARIFFS,” and not charge valued customers ANYTHING. I’ll be watching, and so will your customers!!!”

The rebuke was the White House’s third such public reprimand of a big American business that discussed the possibility of raising prices because of the steep cost of tariffs.

Yeah, he can make a big show and bully big companies, but he can't bully them all, and the bigger they are, the easier for them to ignore him.

So he talks tough against Walmart. Where's his base gonna go? Target? They are raising prices too.

Even 85% of the maga on the FReak site are wise to the truth that China does not pay the tariffs. They know price controls are not a realistic option; they point out that price controls means reduced supply.

tRump is overplaying his hand and he is too stupid to realize how bad his cards are now that he himself dealt.

According to Trump, the foreign countries pay the tariffs. So why is Trump saying Walmart has to "eat" the tariffs?

14. Yes, it's not traditional Republicanism to advocate destroying profits nor to suggest girls make do with 5 pencils

and 2-3 dolls. Traditional Republicanism was always about maximizing profits and abundance, not austerity (with the exception of safety net stuff and "them takers" ).

Does 5 pencils include colored pencils? Like what if she gets a coloring book as a present? What colors is she limited to? The primary colors -- red, yellow, blue -- and one of the complementary colors (one of orange, green, purple), plus the standard #2 dark gray pencil?

Jimmy Carter was endlessly accused of "malaise" by the Repukes and the media when he advocated turning down the thermostat in the winter and wearing a sweater, but nobody in msm talks about Trump's "malaise".
