If Feinstein were to resign from her CA US Senate seat ASAP, Who should get appointed by Newsom?

Barbara Lee?
Katie Porter?
Adam Schiff?

Barbara Lee should get appointed. Lee will be the 2nd black female US Senator from CA after Kamala Harris. Lee is a strong progressive. Lee will get a chance to serve in the US Senate for 1.5 years or more if she finishes in 1st or 2nd place in the primary and 1st place in the general.

I am hearing that Feinstein is not going to return to the US Senate.

Appointing Lee will help Gavin Newsom politically.

His California district is pretty Blue as it is.

While Katie Porter is great, she barely eeked out a win in 2022.
