UK local and mayoral elections postponed to 2021
Local elections have been postponed until May next year in England.

The contest were due to be held in May for 118 councils in England along with eight posts for directly elected mayors, including for the mayor of London.

Party activists canvassing voters in the current climate would be somewhere between difficult and impossible. And then there's all the hygiene questions people would have with polling stations at present.
This does mean I can't do my usual annual thread about local elections, and it means Labour get a year extra running Sheffield Council. But postponement had become sadly inevitable.
