Katie Wilson, Ry Armstrong, Joe Mallahan, and Joe Molloy make the case for a new Seattle mayor
On Thursday evening in Capitol Hill, candidates vying for public office in the Emerald City participated in a spirited forum at Seattle First Baptist Church that blended campaign pitches with comedic interludes. The event, hosted by The Burner in partnership with House Our Neighbors and The Needling, featured an engaging mix of comedy and politics. After each candidate panel for Mayor, City Attorney, and City Council District 2 members of an improv troupe came on stage to do short sets that poked fun at the candidates who had appeared before them.

As candidates filed off, improv artists filed on, ready to try out new bits riffing on the rhetoric and policies everyone had just heard from the candidates.
Around 7 PM, the candidates for the mayoral forum walked on stage to a room buzzing with anticipation. Present were Joe Molloy, Ry Armstrong, Joe Mallahan, and Katie Wilson the races front-runner alongside incumbent Bruce Harrell.
During the thirty-minute panel, each candidate did their best to introduce themselves to voters and lay out how they would address the needs of the city, and perhaps just as importantly, defeat Harrells bid for reelection.
