3 former Virginia Beach deputies charged with murder for in-custody death

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Three former Virginia Beach sheriff's deputies have been indicted in connection to the June 2024 death of Rolin Hill, an inmate at the Virginia Beach Correctional Center.
All three deputies were charged with second-degree murder, and two of the deputies were charged with assault and battery.
Eric G. Baptiste, a 39-year-old Virginia Beach resident, was charged with second-degree murder and five counts of assault and battery. Michael C. Kidd, a 39-year-old Chesapeake resident, was charged with second-degree murder and two counts of assault and battery.
Kevin B. Wilson, a 34-year-old Virginia Beach resident, faces a charge of second-degree murder.
