Houston residents, prepare to vote during local elections on May 3
HOUSTON (KIAH) Local elections are being held next month. In the May 3rd elections, the people of Houston will be casting their votes for local leaders and initiatives.
This is the time for Houstonians to get election ready! Many areas of Texas will be electing leaders for school boards and cities. Also, some of the states special districts may hold elections at this time. These districts help manage services like water, hospitals, and libraries.
May 3rd is the date of the local elections. Please register to vote and change your address, if applicable, before tomorrow, April 3, to ensure that this information is entered in time for the upcoming local elections. Dont forget that the deadline to vote by mail is April 22.
U.S. Citizens in Texas can register to vote in the election if they are 18 and older, or if they will be of age by election day.
