(93,935 posts)Advocating for this fucker but, milk is for baby cows. There's a reason why the majority of humans are lactose intolerant.

(3,379 posts)My family receives SNAP. They majority of my purchases are super healthy, but I do get fun snacks for the kids such as ice cream or cookies. We're allowed to have happy moments and enjoy food. Poverty is not a character flaw. Also, junk food is often cheaper. We have been without snap for over a month due to a mistake on the state end that is being worked out. Our fruit and vegetable intake has decreased dramatically. We have the food pantry, which is twice monthly, but they only give one fresh fruit portion and 2 fresh vegetable portions (which were moldly when I got them). Good fats, proteins, fruits, and veggies and dairy are expensive right now.

(4,524 posts)I'm sorry they screwed up your account. Hard to budget such a small amount and make it last all month as it is. It's macaroni and butter at the end of the month. I guess the problem really pertains to a handful of recipients. Those greedy bastards at the top should monitor their own wasteful spending before picking on the little guy. Too much time on his hands. Maybe he needs to go work in a soup kitchen.

(4,524 posts)Mom should make some yummy, healthier ones with no preservatives and other chemicals. I think they banned soda awhile ago. Not sure though. It's so bad for you.
