South Carolina restaurants can now operate at full capacity inside their dining rooms, Gov. Henry McMaster said Friday.
The governor made the announcement one day after hinting at his plans to lift capacity restrictions inside restaurants at a press conference Thursday.
The decision reverses McMaster's previous executive order limiting restaurants to 50% occupancy inside their dining rooms from May.
The face covering requirement for people entering restaurants and for restaurant employees remains in place, McMaster said in a statement, as does the 11 p.m. "last call order," which prohibits the sale and consumption of alcohol in restaurants after 11 p.m. limitation on the sale of alcohol.
