Egg farm robbed in Dauphin County, PA

Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Dauphin County egg farm. According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Lykens, the incident occurred around 8:15 p.m. Friday at the Standing Stone Egg Farm on the 2100 block of Powells Valley Road in Wayne Township.

That’s where police say a man knocked on the door of the business. An employee answered, and the man pointed a dark-colored handgun – possibly a revolver – at him and demanded money. The employee gave him between $400 and $600. The man left in a waiting silver or white sedan and headed west towards Halifax, police say.

He is described as a white male between 30 and 35 who wore a yellow t-shirt, khaki cargo shorts and had short, brown hair.

Anyone with information should call the police, 717-362-8700, and ask for Trooper David Humphreys.
