Weve seen an enormous number of other viral diseases just enteroviruses, rhinoviruses and others that have been going on for several weeks and more than flu and RSV, shared Dr. David Weber with UNC Hospitals.
Weber shared UNC Hospitals have seen higher than average cases of mycoplasma pneumonia, averaging 50-positive cases a week. Mycoplasma pneumonia, also called atypical or walking pneumonia, has been surging nationwide for months, particularly among children.

The doctor also shared pertussis, also known as whooping cough, has been on the rise. Flu and RSV have steadily increased in North Carolina over the past few weeks.

Broke a rib coughing. Sickest I had ever been, I had the TDAP the yer before.

I would have to stand in a door frame and hold myself hard against the frame to hold my ribs in place so I could cough without passing out.
It was a nightmare.

She is in NE Carolina. Damn. Well, she is a 45+ year vet of the emergency room, so I suspect she will be vigilant and take precautions.
It is a good thing my fragile ass is not there. I still miss it fiercely.
