With a system that dumped several inches of rainfall in Western North Carolina ahead of Hurricane Helene on Wednesday night into Thursday morning, the National Weather Service is comparing this upcoming event to the Asheville flood of 1916.

My grandfather had cut a lot of timber to sell and it was all destroyed by the 1916 flood.

10. She's still eating and drinking and continent.

The gabapentin is helping a lot. She's not howling as much. I still have to hand feed her and hold her when she drinks. I don't think that's going to improve. Unfortunately.
