ANTELOPE WELLS - Another large group of migrants was detained Sunday in southwestern New Mexico, the US Border Patrol announced.
USBP reported the group of 194 entered the United States about 3 a.m. at the Camp Bounds Forward Operating Base adjacent to the Antelope Wells Port of Entry.
The majority in the group were from Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador and some were unaccompanied juveniles, according to USBP.
A Border Patrol news release stated a 7-year-old child traveling with a parent was diagnosed with a high fever during a screening. The child was transported to a hospital by helicopter, where the child was diagnosed with the flu. The child has since been released from the hospital and returned to USBP custody.
