Republican Councilmen Pawlowski and Boyer Launch Re-Election Bids

SUMMIT, NJ — Councilmen Bob Pawlowski and Jamel Boyer announced their campaigns for re-election this week, highlighting a record of leadership focused on fiscal responsibility, public safety, neighborhood preservation, and transparency in local government.

During their tenure, the Summit Republican City Committee noted that Pawlowski and Boyer have supported initiatives to strengthen police staffing, passed the Resident Protection Ordinance to safeguard neighborhoods, and partnered with local and county agencies to address homelessness in Summit, demonstrating a balance between public safety and community compassion.

“Bob and Jamel are strong leaders who care deeply about Summit and who have never been afraid to speak up, ask hard questions, and stand up for residents,” said Summit Mayor Elizabeth Fagan. “Their experience, leadership, and solution-oriented thinking are important for Summit’s future.”

Summit Republican City Committee Chairman Nick Curiale praised the councilmen for bringing “fact-based thinking and a diversity of thought that is representative of our entire community. They have a proven record of leadership and service, and we are proud to support their re-election.”
