at 7 p.m. Lots of thunder, too.

The warning said not to go anywhere unless fleeing a flooding area.

I'm on a mountain, so not worried.

Scary loud warnings and one of my cats won't come out from behind the door - poor thing.
I must say that with all this heat, we need the rain.

We're closer to the valley between first and second mountain - a couple of hundred feet above Verona Lake but the person who built my house was an civil engineer in the Civil War and know what he was doing. Our property is raised and built on sand dredged from the lake, so we never flood. ( shhh....I didn't say that)

There are streets in our town along the Peckman river that get serious flash flooding during storms like this.

This was as my kitty crawled on my shoulder.
Didn't bother him. He wants me to come brush him. He's entitled, you know.

I saw pics of flooding in Plainfield on Reddit. Looks pretty bad.

Seems to have calmed down from about an hour ago, but there were some big bolts.

Thankful I wfh and when I do drive into the office it's West into Bucks County PA. Used to drive from Hunterdon to Secaucus. 78 and I-95 are mess.

Shelter in place folks.
