I think both tobacco tax issues (ESPECIALLY Amendment 3!), written by the tobacco companies themselves, get an emphatic NO vote. Same with the "Taxpayer Protection" Amendment 4--Warmed-over Hancock Amendment hash, IMHO. The election photo ID measure (Amendment 6) also warrants a NO vote/
What are this group's thoughts on these, and other ballot measures? Sad to say, I'm not as well informed on them as I should be....

(344 posts)Everything opposing the tobacco taxes I've seen was paid for by tobacco retailers. Where's the evidence that they were written by tobacco companies?

(25,120 posts)Part of the evidence is the provision in Amendment 3 to limit state funding for research into smoking's health effects.

Emphatic NO on all amendments.
What we need is an amendment that makes 3/4 vote mandatory for amendments.
51% is nothing more than mob rule.
