Gov. Tate Reeves sets date for four special elections

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves announced Monday, July 7, that he has set dates for four special elections in several counties throughout Mississippi, according to a statement released by his office.

Two of the elections will address open seats in the state senate, one will fill the open Mississippi House of Representatives seat in District 26, and one of the special elections will settle a runoff in a primary race for the tax collector/assessor of Pearl River County.

Each of the elections will be added to the ballots for Nov. 4, 2025, in the counties they affect.

An election is being held in Leflore, Panola and Tallahatchie counties to fill the District 24 senate seat left vacant by the retirement of Senator David L. Jordan.
