Day 2 of Comelia Walker's election challenge for mayor of Canton

CANTON, Miss. (WLBT) - Testimony has officially concluded in Canton for Comelia Walker’s challenge of the Democratic Primary runoff results, but still no decision has been made on another possible special election.

Current Mayor William Truly and Circuit Clerk Anita Ray testified once again Thursday, and then representatives for Walker and Tim Taylor moved forward with their closing arguments.

In that, Walker’s attorneys continued their push that residents who had not been put into the election management system as Canton residents “did not have the same right to vote.”

When asked by Judge Jeff Weill, “What would have been different if we didn’t have this redistricting issue?”
