They both seem like good candidates but I just can't decide who I'm voting for on Tuesday.
One thing for sure though. Whoever comes out of this and faces Hinson will get my vote.
Also, I'm leaning toward Turek now but I think Wahls may have a bit more name recognition and that may be what puts him over the top vs. Hinson.

(64,869 posts)I really like his determination. And his wins in Council Bluffs are impressive.
I also think Wahls has too much baggage. You can bet Hinson and the Rs will run an absolutely filthy campaign. I think Turek is better suited to battling them.
It kind of bothers me that Wahls has been safely in Johnson county and not having to battle the MAGA folk the way Turek has.
Either way the D has my vote in November.

(53,413 posts)I volunteered on his previous campaigns. In addition to being intelligent and a ridiculously hard worker, he knows how to win over the fence sitters, indy voters and even Republicans (including his Republican mother, who is working hard to get him elected).
He won his house seat where Democrats come in third after registered Republicans and registered Independents. We're going to need those voters to win in November and I think he can get them.
