WNBA All-Star events target major community impact in Indianapolis
The WNBA and its Indianapolis All-Star Host Committee announced a series of community events planned around the WNBA All-Star 2025 game. The activities run from July 17-19 and focus on youth empowerment, health, career development and sustainability.
The centerpiece is the second annual WNBA Changemaker Day on July 17 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Partnering with Voice in Sport and the Black Womens Health Imperative, the league and its Changemaker sponsors will address period poverty. Volunteers will assemble 25,000 hygiene kits for local nonprofits Indy Hygiene Hub and Project Period Indy. A panel discussion featuring experts like BWHIs Dr. Zsanai Epps and Nikes Vanessa Garcia-Brito will explore the positive impact of puberty, body image and sports. The day includes a Jr. WNBA clinic.
On July 18, the WNBA Cares State Farm Assist Tracker Legacy Project renovated wellness spaces at Girl Scouts of Central Indianas Camp Dellwood. This initiative extends the season-long program that assists in triggering donations to support community centers.
