More election judges sought by Peoria County Election Commission for Midterms
PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — The Peoria County Election Commission is looking for a few good people.
Make that about 100 good people to serve as election judges during the Nov. 3 midterm elections.
Jessily Joseph, the commission’s executive director, said those election judges keep the ship afloat.
“If we don’t have enough election judges, that’s when you will see delays on Election Day,” she said. “That’s when we have longer lines, and so that’s why we are pushing so hard to recruit more, because we are expecting it to turn out to be busy.”
